Universal’s latest haunted house reveals for this fall’s Halloween Horror Nights events in Orlando and Hollywood include one based on characters from World Wrestling Entertainment, the Wyatt Sicks.
Here’s how Universal described the house in its press release:
“Horror fans brave enough to travel through the light of the lantern will find themselves transported into the maniacal minds of The Wyatt Sicks, where each member reigns supreme within their own horrific domains. There, Uncle Howdy together with Ramblin Rabbit, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch and Huskus the Pig will be waiting to take bloody retribution on a world that has abandoned them. Along the way, guests will be stalked by the eerie presence of The Fiend, Bray [Wyatt]’s sadistic alter ego, who looms within the shadows and beckons them to let him in.”
For those who aren’t immersed in pro wrestling, the Wyatt Sicks are a stable of wrestlers whose gimmicks are inspired by the late Bray Wyatt, who died in 2023. The current leader of the group, Uncle Howdy, is played by Bray’s younger brother, who previously wrestled under the name Bo Dallas.
This is the first time in 25 years that HHN has crossed over with pro wrestling. The Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood in the year 2000 featured a haunted house themed around WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker.
Five Night at Freddy’s is coming to HHN (Universal)
The other house confirmed on Tuesday will be based around the 2023 film “Five Night at Freddy’s.” Universal had previously said the franchise would be a part of HHN this year but hadn’t specified whether that would be as a house or scare zone.
Universal said of the house in its press release:
“Guests will follow in the footsteps of Mike, who was recently fired and desperate for work so that he can keep custody of his little sister, after he agrees to accept a position as a night security guard in an abandoned themed entertainment center: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. The terror will start as guests navigate the corridors and learn that nothing at Freddy’s is what it seems when they encounter the supernatural and become lured into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.”
These houses will be featured at HHN events on both coasts. The Orlando version kicks off at Universal Studios Florida on Aug. 29, while the Hollywood edition starts on Sept. 4. Both events will take over their respective parks on select nights through Nov. 2.
