Universal parks in Orlando and Hollywood will be debuting stores next month dedicated to “Wicked,” the film version of the Broadway musical hitting theaters in late November.
What’s coming to Universal Studios Florida will be called Wicked: The Experience and be housed in what was most recently the UNIVRS retail space near the front of the park.

This is how Universal described the store in a press release:
“This exclusive, one-of-a-kind experience will whisk guests along the yellow brick road and into a variety of iconic Wicked locations from Shiz University to the Emerald City. Fanciful costumes and props created by the designers from the film will also be on display as guests become immersed in spectacular scenic and theming that will recreate some of the most memorable moments of the film.”
Universal Studios Hollywood will be two “Wicked”-themed retail locations. The Feature Presentation space inside the theme park “will showcase props from the film, an exciting photo op will debut within the theme park,” while more items will be found in CityWalk’s UNIVRS store.
The special offerings will also treats themed around the movie at the Voodoo Doughnuts and The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium in both Orlando and Hollywood.
This isn’t the first time the world of “Wicked” has found a home in Universal parks. Universal Studios Japan once had an area called Land of Oz that featured a shorter one-act version of the “Wicked” musical. The Land of Oz was around from 2006 to 2011, being closed to make way for a new section aimed at kids called Universal Wonderland.
