Tickets are now on sale for the adults-only New Year’s Eve celebrations at Universal’s CityWalk as well as more family-friendly activities to ring in 2019 inside Universal Studios Florida.
Universal will be bringing back its adults-only EVE at Universal CityWalk celebration beginning at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31. Standard tickets start at $110 per person and include “an unlimited selection of gourmet dishes,” access to six CityWalk clubs with live bands and DJs and a complimentary champagne toast. VIP tickets with extra perks like private bars and balcony access start at $195 per person.
“From midnight toasts to confetti showers, the festivities across our parks and hotels will make this a night you won’t forget,” Universal wrote on its blog.
The party will feature Orlando’s own DJ M-Squared, who performs every Saturday at The Groove at CityWalk, returning for his sixth consecutive New Year celebration at Universal.
For those below the age of 21 holding a Universal park ticket or annual pass, the resort is offering another New Year’s Eve celebration inside Universal Studios Florida. The areas around the park’s Music Plaza Stage and Central Park will become “party zones” with live music and appearances by Universal Orlando characters.
To cap off the night, guests can see Universal’s new Cinematic Celebration lagoon show just before “pyrotechnic displays blast off at midnight to mark the start of a new year.”
More options are available for guests at Universal hotels who may not want to start off 2019 in a club or theme park. Special dinners will be available at several Universal resorts, ranging from the $17 carving special at Cabana Bay Beach Resort to the $125 buffet at The Kitchen at the Hard Rock Hotel. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel will feature a special “Party on the Piazza” with a DJ, dancing and a sparkling wine toast, with tickets costing $155 per adult.
