Hersheypark has unveiled a new animated point-of-view video for its new-for-2023 roller coaster, Wildcat’s Revenge.

The hybrid wood-and-steel coaster is being built by Rocky Mountain Construction, the same firm behind other beloved hybrid coasters such as Cedar Point’s Steel Vengeance and Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Wildcat’s Revenge (built on the bones of the Wildcat wooden coaster which closed last year) will feature a 140-foot-tall lift hill, 82-degree first drop and a top speed of 62 miles per hour. Riders will fly through four inversions over the 3,510 feet of track, including what Hersheypark calls the “world’s largest underflip.” The park described this element in an earlier press release as “an inversion that begins with an upward climb, followed by a counterclockwise 270-degree roll and a dive down towards the side.”

Theme Park Tribune named the coaster as one of its 10 most anticipated theme park attractions for 2023. Hersheypark hasn’t announced an opening date for Wildcat’s Revenge beyond summer 2023, though the park has historically opened its new coasters in May.
