Universal’s first foray into taking Halloween Horror Nights-style scares outside of its theme parks will open in Las Vegas on August 14.
Universal Horror Unleashed, which was first announced in 2023, will be a year-round haunt experience located at the Area15 entertainment venue a few miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. Four haunted houses will be included: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer, Scarecrow: The Reaping and Universal Monsters.
In a press release, Universal said, “As soon as guests step into the darkened warehouse they will be surrounded by horror like never before, encountering unimaginable monstrous creatures lurking around every corner– from vampires to a supernatural collection of unsettling dolls – as they brave their way through four themed immersive areas featuring bloodcurdling original stories by the masterminds of horror at Universal.”
Along with the opening date, Universal has opened ticket sales for the first time. Tickets granting one-time access to each of the houses will cost between $69 to $99, while unlimited access tickets will run between $99 and $149 per day. Nevada residents can buy discounted tickets priced between $59 and $89.
Tickets are now available for dates through Feb. 9, 2026, according to the calendar released by Universal. Universal Horror Unleashed will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays most of the year. Operations will expand in October to close only on Wednesdays and the experience will also be open every day from Dec. 26 through Jan. 5.
The Vegas attraction is one of several projects in the works at Universal’s Destinations & Experiences division that will expand its offerings beyond its existing theme parks. Besides the new Epic Universe theme park debuting on May 22 in Orlando, Universal is also constructing a kids-focused resort and park in Frisco, Texas that is scheduled to open in 2026.
The company has also proposed building a theme park in Bedford in the U.K., with final approval expected to be granted by the U.K. government in the next few weeks, according to a Feb. 15 report from the Daily Mirror.
