Universal Parks & Resorts is teaming up with Nintendo to bring the popular game, its heroes and villains to three of its theme parks, including Orlando.

Nintendo-themed interactive areas with attractions, shops and restaurants will open separately over the next several years at Universal Studios Japan, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

Mario will be there, along with gigantic piranha plants, question blocks and power-ups that will allow guests to immersive themselves into the game experience.

“The goal of everyone on this project is clear: to bring the characters, action and adventure of Nintendo video games to life within Universal theme parks,” according to the Universal announcement. “And to do so in new and innovative ways that capture what makes them so special.”

The Japanese-based Nintendo, has sold more than 4.4 billion video games globally, including a line of Nintendo editions, Game Boy and Wii systems.

The partnership means Universal will soon be luring guests with three of the most popular icons in America: Nintendo, Harry Potter and Marvel.
