The 35th edition of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando will kick off on Aug. 28, 2026, the resort announced Thursday.

The dates largely align to the HHN schedule seen since 2024, when the event first expanded into late August, and will once again end on the first Sunday after Halloween, which this year will be Nov. 1.

No haunted houses or scare zones have been announced for the 2026 event and Universal won’t release the full calendar of HHN nights until a later date.

Along with HHN, here’s the rest of Universal Orlando’s special events calendar for the year:

  • Jan. 23-24: Rock the Universe, a Christian music festival;
  • Feb. 7-April 4: Universal Mardi Gras;
  • March 1-May 31: Butterbeer Season, with limited-time treats and merchandise theme around the Wizarding World beverage;
  • Aug. 1-Sept. 15: Back to Hogwarts;
  • Aug. 15-Sept. 30: Passholder Appreciation Days;
  • Nov. 14-Jan. 3: Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort.

Universal also said two other special in-park offerings will return later this year without revealing specific dates: Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle in the fall and Volcano Bay Nights, an after-hours event at the Volcano Bay water park that debuted last year.
