Universal Orlando is starting Halloween Horror Nights earlier than ever in 2025.
HHN will start on Aug. 29 — one day earlier than 2024’s event — and run on select dates through Nov. 2. The reveal did not come with any details about what haunted houses, scare zones and live shows will be featured this time around.
Before HHN, Universal’s seasonal event calendar includes the 30th anniversary edition of its Mardi Gras celebration (running from Feb. 1 through March 30) and a new event for 2025 called Volcano Bay Nights.
This nighttime event is scheduled for only five nights — April 19 and 26, and May 3, 10, and 17 — and will require a separate ticket, according to Universal’s website. Few other details were offered beyond Universal promising “live entertainment, character meet and greets and a big splash of awesome” for Volcano Bay Nights.
The year will be capped off (as always) with the Holidays at Universal event running from Nov. 21 through Dec. 31. Universal mentioned that Christmas festivities in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be back along with the popular meet-and-greet with The Grinch.
Notably, Universal did not detail how these seasonal events may incorporate the resort’s new Epic Universe theme park, which is set to open on May 22.
