The 33rd edition of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando will be the first to kick off in August.

The event will take over Universal Studios Florida for 48 nights this fall. Here’s the full schedule:

  • Aug. 30-31
  • Sept. 1, 4-8, 11-15, 18-22, and 25-29
  • Oct. 2-6, 9-13, 16-20, 23-27, and 30-31
  • Nov. 1-3

Orlando theme park fans are used to the Halloween season starting earlier and earlier. Disney World’s hard-ticket Halloween event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, started on Aug. 11 last year.

HHN has been slowly but consistently expanding its calendar in recent years, moving its start ahead of Labor Day beginning in 2021 and lasting a then-record 44 nights last year. (For comparison, the event ran for only 34 nights in 2017).

Universal did not reveal any themes for this year’s event, but confirmed that it will once again feature 10 haunted houses and five scare zones.

Ticket prices for this year’s HHN vary by date, ranging from a low of $83 per person (up from $80 in 2023) to a high of $123 during Saturdays in October. Express Passes will cost at least an additional $130 per person. Multi-night tickets, including the Frequent Fear Pass, are not on sale yet.
