Universal Orlando adds extra Halloween Horror Nights date for 2019

For the second straight year, Universal Orlando is tacking on another night to the Halloween Horror Nights calendar.

The resort has added Monday, Oct. 21 as an event date “due to popular demand,” according to a press release.

“Halloween Horror Nights 2019 is the ultimate Halloween experience where some of the biggest names in pop culture, crazed cult favorites and original abominations take over Universal Studios Florida, as the sun sets on days filled with thrills and the night awakens with a frightening chill,” Universal said in the release.

If you’ve purchased the Frequent Fear, Frequent Fear Plus, or Ultimate Frequent Fear passes, the extra night will be included.

This year’s HHN features 10 houses based on major hits like “Ghostbusters” and “Stranger Things,” as well as horror cult classics like “Killer Klowns From Outer Space.” Five scare zones are also spread throughout the park.

In 2018, the additional night came a month later in the HHN season. The 2019 edition of Halloween Horror Nights was already set to be the longest in its history (after starting a week earlier than the prior year) and will now last 42 nights overall through Nov. 2.
