Previews of Universal Orlando’s third theme park are no longer limited to annual passholders and hotel guests.
Universal announced Tuesday that Epic Universe preview tickets can now be purchased by members of the general public, costing between $144 and $154 per day. The park will be open for previews every day through May 19, closing on May 20 and 21 to prepare for the grand opening of Epic Universe on May 22.
As with all the other previews, the experience comes with the caveat that “some attractions and experiences may not be available,” per Universal’s website.
The expansion of previews appears to have angered some Universal annual passholders. One declared it a “bait and switch on APs and hotel guests” and comments about the change on the Universal Orlando Reddit were largely negative.
However, Universal never promised that the exclusivity for passholders and hotel guests would continue for their entire preview period. Universal passholders were also allowed to buy preview tickets first and AP prices are still lower than those for the general public, costing between $123 and $131 per person.
