Universal Orlando has raised prices for one-day tickets — but not for Florida residents.
As first reported by Parkscope, single-day, one-park tickets during Universal’s “value” season rose only $1 to $115 per adult. For “regular” season, tickets will cost $125 (up from $122) while “anytime” tickets, which cover the busiest days of the year, will now cost $135 (up from $129). Rates for Florida residents are unchanged.
According to Theme Park Insider, prices for multi-day tickets went up by $10 across the board. These range from a $225 for a two-day, one-park-per-day ticket to a $335 five-day pass granting access to both parks every day.
When asked for comment, Universal told Orlando Rising these pricing changes “happened some time ago.”
“Our pricing reflects the world-class entertainment experiences we offer our guests,” said Alyson Lundell, senior director of public relations at Universal Orlando. “We always work to provide value-driven options for our guests throughout the year. For example, our multi-day tickets offer per-day pricing as low as $53, and we continuously feature special offers on tickets and packages. Guests should watch our website for updates and new offers. And they should remember to purchase tickets in advance to get the best value.”
Hagrid Week — Day Two
For the second of its weeks’ worth of reveals for the upcoming Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Universal said Cornish Pixies will be a part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction.
“Cornish pixies are electric blue tricksters who love to create mischief – often at the expense of others,” Universal wrote in a blog post. “These mischievous creatures fly, and have also been known to seize unwary humans by the ears and deposit them at the tops of tall trees and buildings – poor Neville Longbottom.”
There will be a total of 20 pixies throughout the ride — which could turn your second or third trip on the highly-themed coaster into a sort of scavenger hunt for the 13-inch-tall creatures.
The Cornish Pixies join the previously announced animatronic of Fluffy, a giant, three-headed guard dog. Universal will be revealing a new creature for the ride every day this week at 11 a.m. eastern time.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure opens at Universal’s Islands of Adventure on June 13.
