Tickets are now on sale for Universal Studios Hollywood’s Fan Fest Nights — and appropriately, the park revealed much more about what you can expect to experience at the event.
This new-for-2025 event appears to be like a spring version of Halloween Horror Nights, only without the horror, with limited-time walkthrough attractions, shows, and character greetings, with several intellectual properties that are not otherwise featured at Universal parks.
For “Star Trek” fans, the Minion Land area of the park will host a walkthrough experience called Star Trek: Red Alert set aboard the Enterprise-D, which was the setting for “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and the ending of “Star Trek: Picard.” Here’s how Universal described the attraction:
Guests will find themselves transported to the year 2403, just as an otherworldly entity wreaks havoc on the ship. As the chaos ensues, guests will venture further into the Enterprise, navigating familiar Star Trek environments, from the ship’s engineering room to transporter pads, to the soul of the Starship Enterprise, the bridge — an original set piece featured in the third and final season of “Star Trek: Picard” — in a desperate quest to stop the perceived danger and restore peace aboard the ship. Laden with special effects, audio-visual effects, multi-sensory activations and themed performers, this all-original experience will create an unforgettable, awe-inspiring moment that will elevate Star Trek fandom to new levels.

The roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons will be represented at Fan Fest Nights with its own attraction called Secrets of Waterdeep in Soundstage 15 on the Lower Lot:
Guests will join the Harpers—a heroic spy network—to foil a plot by the legendary beholder Xanathar and save the city of Waterdeep. In creating this unique experience, Universal Studios Hollywood is collaborating with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create the legendary beholder Xanathar that will come to life within DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Secrets of Waterdeep.
Universal’s backlot will host the “Back to the Future” part of the event, complete with props set up on the actual Courthouse Square set used to portray Hill Valley in the original 1985 film. Universal said that “guests will have the sensation of going back in time as they partake in the energetic recreation of the Enchantment Under the Sea dance and Hill Valley Festival plus experience a stunning recreation of the Clock Tower lightning strike, sending Marty back to the future multiple times each event night.”
Anime fans will have two properties represented at Fan Fest Nights. The first, called One Piece: Grand Pirate Gathering, will act like a Horror Nights scare zone on New York Street and “transport guests into the series’ fictional world of pirates through an immersive and interactive experience, complete with iconic visuals and scenic environments that place fans at the heart of the action.”

The other anime experience will be the film-based “Jujutsu Kaisen: Hunger of the Cursed,” which will take over Dreamworks Theater during the event.
Existing Universal lands are also getting some limited-time offerings for Fan Fest Nights. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will offer the “Hogwarts Always” project show along with special meet-and-greets with “the Niffler, a Baby Dragon and grand Occamy,” according to Universal.
Super Nintendo World will have a new character greeting with Yoshi — but with a twist. As Universal describes it: “As part of Yoshi’s welcome to the land, guests will have a chance to interact with Yoshi as they engage in a scavenger hunt to locate all five colorful Yoshi eggs. After completing this original quest, guests will reap the benefit of a very special reward with the unique opportunity to meet a different colored Yoshi.”
And like HHN, there will be special food and merch options for the event.

Unlike Halloween Horror Nights, Fan Fest Nights will have a fairly small calendar, running for only 12 nights total from Fridays through Sundays on April 25 through May 18.
Tickets for the event will start at $73 per night and do not include any daytime access to Universal Hollywood. For an extra $20, you can buy an early access ticket that gets you into the park for some of the Fan Fest Nights 90 minutes before the event officially starts.
Other options include two-day admission to the event for $109 or a “Ultimate Fandom Pass,” offering access to every night of the event, for $249.
