Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed the first original haunted house for its 2024 Halloween Horror Nights event.

Called Dead Exposure: Death Valley, Universal described the house as: “A secret lab’s attempts to create super soldiers takes a turn for the worse, creating radioactive zombies who escape just as you arrive!”

Veteran HHN fans may recall two previous houses that used the Dead Exposure name. The original was seen at Universal Orlando’s 2008 HHN event, followed by Dead Exposure: Patient Zero in 2018.

The reveal marks the second of eight HHN Hollywood 2024 houses that have been announced so far, the other being a house based around the first two films in the “A Quiet Place” franchise. In contrast, Orlando’s HHN event has already revealed seven of its 10 houses, including six original concepts.

The West Coast edition of Halloween Horror Nights will begin on Sept. 5, 2024, and take over Universal Hollywood on select nights through Nov. 3.
