Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure Show will bring their Farewell Tour to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, after 26 years of mocking the news and pop culture.
The live variety show centers around the title characters from the 1989 film “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” which starred Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.
Shown at the Fear Factor theater, the popular parody has mimicked politicians, imitated pop stars, and made fun of attractions at neighboring Walt Disney World.
Jason Horne, who has written and directed the show for seven years, vowed this year’s show would continue to be relevant, ridiculous, irreverent, and edgy.
“Over the years, this show has morphed and shifted to fit with the changing tides of pop culture,” said Horne on the official Universal blog. “The Farewell Tour gives us the perfect opportunity to give Bill S. Preston, Esquire and Ted “Theodore” Logan a proper sendoff.
The blog offered no explanation for the end of the show but it is rumored that the Fear Factor theater will be removed to make way for an expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Halloween Horror Nights runs from Sept. 15 through Nov. 4.
