Orange County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after 30 vehicles were broken into early Monday at several hotels near the International Drive tourist corridor.
Two cars were broken into at 2:15 a.m. at the La Quinta Inn & Suites at 8504 Universal Boulevard, according to the sheriff’s report. Minutes later, police were called to respond to more burglaries about four miles away at the Westgate Leisure Resort on Villa de Costa Drive. The windows of 17 vehicles were broken and two more cars were burglarized.
Then, two vehicles at the Hilton Garden Inn Orlando, six at the Residence Inn Orlando and three at the Hampton Inn and Suites were vandalized. The hotels are off Westwood Boulevard, near SeaWorld.
Deputies said the incidents appear to be related and the investigation is ongoing.
