Howl-O-Scream is returning to SeaWorld San Antonio this fall with a new haunted house.

In a press release confirming the adult-oriented Halloween event will return for 2021, SeaWorld San Antonio stated, “Dark minds have been brewing new ways to terrify those brave enough to enter an all-new original experience. More terrifying details are right around the corner!”

The press release also confirmed the event’s dates (22 nights between Sept. 17 and Halloween) and a “Monster Stomp” show at the park’s Nautilus Theater. Otherwise it did not provide details about the new house’s theme or what other houses and scare zones will be returning for 2021.

Unlike other Howl-O-Scream events in Orlando, Tampa, and Virginia, the San Antonio edition is included with regular admission to the park.

Salt & Straw ice cream shop coming to Disney Springs

Disney World guests will have a new ice cream option in 2022, when Salt & Straw opens a new location at Disney Springs.

The Portland-based company has an existing location at the Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney and two shops in the Miami area, but the Disney Springs store will be its first in Central Florida.

“We love to use ice cream to remix flavors you already know and love while exploring food trends, social issues and small, local makers,” Salt & Straw co-founder and CEO Kim Malek said in a press release. “It’s so exciting to bring our unique combination of comfort and adventure to the big stage at Disney World.”

The chain is now for distinctly non-traditional ice cream flavors like honey lavender, as well as for introducing flavors unique to each of its markets which change on a regular basis.

Disney Springs already supports several spots for ice cream, including Häagen-Dazs and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. The shopping and dining district was supposed to add another, Ample Hills Creamery, before the Brooklyn-based company filed for bankruptcy. The move led to its Disney Springs expansion being canceled and its existing location at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort would not reopen.
