Called Halloween Marathon of Mayhem, the show will utilize infrastructure that Universal debuted last year for its regular nighttime lagoon show, Cinematic Celebration.
It's the first time the 2003 film has been featured at Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights, but Universal Studios Hollywood has based three houses around it at past events.
“Us” joins an elite lineup of intellectual properties being showcased at HHN this year, including “Ghostbusters,” “Stranger Things,” and “Killer Klowns From Outer Space."
Not only does the house fit with this year’s 1980s theme, but Universal has a history of turning popular scare zones from one HHN into houses for the next event.
“All-new horrifying experiences inspired by some of the biggest frights of the era will invade the world’s premier Halloween event – offering no escape from the decade that just won’t die,” Universal said in a press release.
