NBCUniversal CEO: ‘We intend to build’ Epic Universe, hopes ‘Roaring ‘20s effect’ will boost theme parks
Universal Orlando's third theme park has put on hold in April due to the pandemic.
SeaWorld will now be open Thursdays through Sept. 6.
This is the second round of layoffs at the resort since it reopened in June.
Not all construction on Epic Universe will be halted, as existing road work and site preparation will continue.
"We remain very confident that the parks business will generate healthy returns over the long term,” said Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of Universal’s parent company, Comcast.
Universal Orlando’s parent company has officially announced that the Orlando version of Super Nintendo World will be a part of the new Epic Universe theme park opening in 2023.
SeaWorld Orlando's next coaster will feature four launches, starting with a backwards launch up a 93-foot-tall spike, when it opens in spring 2020.
The "Power Up" wristbands at Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan will allow guests to interact with items around the land, earning coins and battling bosses while tracking your score.
