Last time Disney World changed its AP prices, the largest increase was 7 percent. In 2021, prices are jumping up to 55 percent.
Only the highest-tier $1,399 pass in the new Magic Key system comes with no blockout dates and includes parking.
Knott's will now extend passes into 2022 for each day the park remains closed.
All passholders will receive prorated refunds and still get AP discounts until a new program is unveiled.
“We are working to reopen the ride as soon as possible,” Universal said.
Disney World is suspending monthly payments for annual passes and giving guests options for partial refunds or extending passes for the length of the closure -- which has no end in sight.
J.P. Morgan has suggested Disney furlough some theme park employees in April to save money during the coronavirus pandemic.
The biggest price hikes are on the Platinum and Platinum Plus annual passes for out-of-state guests, with prices remaining the same for Florida residents.
