Trial canceled for alleged Disney World thief; Buzzy theft still unsolved

Scheduled to begin Jan. 21, the trial is now listed as cancelled on the Orange County Clerk of Courts website. The only upcoming proceeding in the case is a plea hearing scheduled for Feb. 4.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) is still investigating the theft of Disney World animatronic Buzzy, despite a source claiming he was never stolen in the first place and remains on Disney property.

After the theft was mentioned in a May 17 arrest warrant, Orange County Sheriff's Office clarified to Orlando Rising that the Buzzy animatronic "is stolen" and the theft remains a "very active investigation."
