Universal Studios Hollywood annual passholders will be able to get early access to Super Nintendo World.
The new land on the park’s Lower Lot opens to the general public on Feb. 17, 2023. Passholder previews will run for a total of nine days: Jan. 29-31, Feb. 3-4 and 8-11.
Advanced registration for a two-hour window will be required for the previews and will open to passholders online on Jan. 5, 2023, at 1:30 pm PT. All passholders will be eligible, Universal said, even if their reservation falls on a blackout date for their level of pass.
Those with reservations will have to check in first “at the Globe Gardens, located outside the park on the pathway between Frankenstein Parking and the security entrance.” More info can be on this FAQ sheet provided by Universal.
Universal Studios Hollywood’s Super Nintendo World will be a smaller version of a land that opened at Universal Studios Japan in 2021. It will feature one ride, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, along with interactive experiences, a new shop, and a restaurant themed around Nintendo characters from the Mario franchise.
A larger version of Super Nintendo World is already under construction for Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe theme park and is set to open in 2025. It will include a Yoshi’s Adventure dark ride and a Donkey Kong-themed coaster that are not present in Hollywood.
