Walt Disney World announced Thursday a new interactive show will debut at Innoventions at Epcot.

The SpectacuLAB, which opens in November, teaches STEM in an entertaining setting.

A group of real scientists and their tech-savvy intern will lead a series of experiments that highlight scientific principles like ultrasonic pressure, barometric pressure and acceleration.

“Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in the demonstrations and discover how each scientific principle has inspired amazing technologies we enjoy today,” said Jennifer Fickley-Baker, editorial content manager at Walt Disney World Resort.

Audience participation in the demonstrations with the scientists include:

– Playing ultrasonic sensor drums that respond to a wave of the hand.

– Changing the colors of barometric pressure cubes by raising or lowering the cube.

– Using accelerometer sensors to measure the guest’s force when using a hammer.

– Observing a scientist explain the principle of force by resting on a bed of nails.

The show is a collaboration with Murata, a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of advanced electronic components, and Science from Scientists, a nonprofit organization that aims to improve STEM literacy at schools.

Innoventions has also hosted a show featuring Bill Nye the Science Guy.
