Disney is giving a behind-the-scenes look at how the company caters to true love.
A 90-minute television special, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons, will cover everything from proposals to I do.
The show features some of the priciest weddings in town. It includes a proposal at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and three weddings at the American Adventure Rotunda in Epcot, on Disney’s private Bahama island Castaway Cay and in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.
And while Disney hates to talk prices except to real brides, a 2016 Cosmopolitan story broke down the details of a $75.000 affair.
“To have your ceremony in front of the castle, which allows for just 100 people and a ceremony time of 9:30 a.m. sharp, there is a $25,000 minimum fee,” according to the article. “That’s excluding food and beverage and other expenditure minimums, which total the $75,000.”
That’s just the cost of the ceremony and the reception cannot be held in the same location. A two-hour ride on a Cinderella-style horse drawn carriage was an extra $2,950.
Reservations for the fairytale weddings are usually booked 16 months in advance, according to the story.
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell from season 20 of “The Bachelor” will host the special. Bushnell received Higgins’ final rose at the end of the season and their new reality show, “Happily Ever After” premieres in October.
“Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons” airs at 8 p.m. May 7th on Freeform.
