A ticket promotion for Howl-O-Scream events across SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks came with some nuggets of news: event dates and the confirmation of new offerings for this year.
The ticket sale lasts only until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 13. You can purchase two Howl-O-Scream tickets for $66.66 for the events in Tampa, Orlando, San Diego, San Antonio, and Williamsburg, Virginia, on each park’s respective websites.
Tickets have to be bought in pairs up to a maximum of 10. The discounted tickets will be good for any day of the event. Here’s the schedule for each park’s version of Howl-O-Scream will run on select nights:
- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay: Sept. 9-Oct. 31
- SeaWorld Orlando: Sept. 9-Oct. 31
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Sept. 9-Oct. 31
- SeaWorld San Antonio: Sept. 15-Oct. 30
- SeaWorld San Diego: Sept. 17-Oct. 31
The adult-oriented, separately-ticketed Halloween event features a mix of haunted houses and scare zones with live actors, stage shows, and nighttime access to certain rides. Busch Gardens Tampa confirmed that the new-for-2022 Iron Gwazi will be available during Howl-O-Scream.
Through the ticket promotion, SeaWorld also confirmed that Orlando and San Diego will continue with their versions of the event. 2021 was the inaugural edition in each park and Theme Park Tribune was on hand for the first night of San Diego’s Howl-O-Scream. SeaWorld CEO Marc Swanson later said that the company was “very pleased with our Halloween performance across a number of our parks.”
Busch Gardens Williamsburg said its 2022 event will feature two new haunted houses and two new “territories” (known as scare zones in other parks). SeaWorld San Antonio’s announcement also revealed that it will have two new houses for this year. None of the parks announced new offerings 2022, though SeaWorld Orlando does say on its website that its Howl-O-Scream “promises to be bigger than ever before.”
