With a little more than a month to go before opening, Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando has announced a new haunted house and two new scare zones for its second year.

The new house — the third announced so far for this after-hours event — is called Blood Beckoning, starring a siren character named Scratch. As described on the SeaWorld website, “beauty is in her blood. You have just what she and her disciples need to sustain their allure. It’s racing through your veins right now. Stay sharp, or the next one scratched off the list will be you.”

Blood Beckoning joins the previously-announced Beneath the Ice and Captain’s Revenge – Drowned in Darkness houses. More house reveals are expected, as the event featured four in its inaugural 2021 event and SeaWorld has been hyping this year’s edition as being “bigger and better.”

For scare zones, the new additions are called Sea of Fear and Cargo Carnage, the latter being themed around a “sinister presence” in shipping crates, according to the SeaWorld site.

The event will also feature two live shows: the returning “Sirens’ Song” and the new “Lurking in the Depths.”

Howl-O-Scream Orlando will run on select nights beginning Sept. 9 through Halloween. The adult-oriented event requires a separate ticket from daytime admission to SeaWorld Orlando. The park is offering ticket packages combining visits to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s own Howl-O-Scream event (starting at $90 each), as well as passes for unlimited visits to Orlando’s event ($101 with no blockout dates).
