Ahead of passholder previews scheduled for later this month, SeaWorld Orlando has released a point-of-view video for its new Ice Breaker multi-launch coaster.
Built by Premier Rides, known for other launch coasters Tigris at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and West Coast Racers at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Ice Breaker features four launches, starting with a backwards launch up a 93-foot-tall spike at a 100-degree angle, and hitting a top speed of 52 miles per hour.
Ice Breaker is SeaWorld Orlando’s first all-new coaster since Mako opened in 2016. The ride is one of the several coasters in the SeaWorld chain that was originally supposed to debut in 2020, before being delayed to 2021 and eventually 2022.
Following a media preview on Jan. 27, SeaWorld passholders will get special daily previews the coaster from noon to 4 p.m. starting Jan. 30. The availability will open on a rolling basis beginning with the highest-tier passes: Platinum passholders can ride starting Jan. 30, followed by Gold passholder on Feb. 1, Silver passholders on Feb. 7 and finishing with Bronze passholders and guests with Fun Cards on Feb. 14 and 15. Ice Breaker will open to all guests on Feb. 18.
