The “American Idol” bus is rolling into  Disney Springs for open auditions but space is limited to the first 4,000 people.

Officials at Walt Disney World Resort are recommending an early arrival for the 8 a.m. auditions Aug. 17. Early bird parking will be available at 4 a.m. – but not a minute before. Registration for American Idol wannabes will start at 6 a.m. and close at noon or whenever all the spots fill.

There will be no overnight camping.

The American Idol judges will not attend but former Idol winners Jordin Sparks, Kris Allen and Ruben Studdard will make an appearance during the search for America’s next superstar.

The Disney Parks Blog advises participants to bring water, sunscreen and a hat as the auditions be outdoors.

Free parking will be available at the surface lot on the west side of Disney Springs, near House of Blues and Cirque du Soleil.

Participants must be at least 15 years old to audition and can bring one guest over the age of 5.

Pre-registration is encouraged. For full eligibility requirements, submission forms, and terms and conditions, visit www.americanidol.com.

For those that can’t make it to the live tryouts, an American Idol pop-up kiosk will be at Disney Springs from August 18 through September 15. Singers can create and submit their own audition video at the kiosk during regular Disney Springs hours.
