The Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure will be home to a short-term, Marvel-themed musical later this year.
Following earlier reports that Disney was auditioning actors for a new show, the official Disney Parks Twitter account confirmed that “Rogers: The Musical” would be “coming for a limited time this summer.”

The musical was first referenced in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye” and its song “Save the City” even got a performance at last year’s D23 Expo.
Even a short-run production should be welcome at the Hyperion, which has sat unused since “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” held its last performance in March 2020 before Disneyland’s COVID-19 shutdown.
The theater’s courtyard area has since been used as extra dining seating for the nearby Avengers Campus and “Rogers: The Musical” may signal that the building will be permanently absorbed into that land.
