Four attractions in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will feature holiday-themed enhancements later this year during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
The party, a separately-ticketed event running on select nights at the Magic Kingdom from Nov. 8 through Dec. 22, already features special offerings, including “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” and the “Frozen Holiday Wish” stage show.
But this will be the first time attractions will get overlays just for the party, unlike longer, seasonal enhancements like Jingle Cruise.
The four attractions that will changes are:
- Tomorrowland Speedway, which will feature “thousands of lights and stylized decor,” according to Disney;
- A holiday-themed Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor show;
- Space Mountain, which will have “dazzling lighting and high-energy holiday tunes;”
- Four holiday combos of lights and music on Mad Tea Party.
Disney World has recently experimented with attraction overlays for its other seasonal Magic Kingdom favorite, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party and Pirates of the Caribbean all featured enhancements during the 2018 event, though the changes were all relatively minor.
Along with the ride changes, 2019 Christmas parties at the Magic Kingdom will also feature a new fireworks show, “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.”
