The full 2025 lineup for Universal Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights is now revealed, with the final haunted house based around “Poltergeist.”
This will mark the first HHN appearance for the 1982 horror film since 2018, when it was the basis for a house in both Hollywood and Orlando. For 2025, it will be exclusive to the West Coast.
Alongside the “Poltergiest” reveal, Universal confirmed the Terror Tram will be back, this time themed around films from Blumhouse Productions. Universal’s press release said guests will “encounter some of the most iconic villains from Blumhouse’s popular horror franchises over the past 15 years, including The Grabber from ‘The Black Phone,’ the possessed from ‘Exorcist: The Believer,’ the diabolical M3GAN, the ruthless killers from ‘The Purge’ franchise, the terrifying demons from the ‘Insidious’ chapters, Blissfield Butcher from ‘Freaky’ and Babyface Killer from ‘Happy Death Day,’ among others.”
If you missed the previous HHN announcements, the event will also have haunted houses shared with the Orlando event, including ones themed around the “Fallout” TV series, “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “Terrifier,” Jason Vorhees from “Friday the 13th,” and WWE characters The Wyatt Sicks. Exclusive to Hollywood will be two original houses: Scarecrow, a house featuring music by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, and Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America.
Beyond the haunted houses, “The Purge: Dangerous Waters” stunt show will be back in the WaterWorld theatre and four scarezones will be scattered around the park: the returning Murder of Crowz, along with Chainsaw Clownz, Carnival of Carnage, and Noche de Brujas.
The Hollywood edition of Halloween Horror Nights kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 4 and runs on select nights at Universal Studios Hollywood through Sunday, Nov. 2.
