DisneyQuest is offering big discounts to Disney passholders and Florida residents as the clock ticks before the attraction closes July 3.
Passholders can purchase tickets at half price for $19.98 or Florida residents receive a 25 percent discount during the final days of the interactive theme park.
It’s the last chance to play classic arcade games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Frogger or ride CyberSpace Mountain, where the tech-savvy design their own rollercoaster.
The closing is part of the transformation of the west side of Disney Springs. DisneyQuest will be replaced by The NBA Experience, a basketball-themed attraction that puts guests in the middle of NBA action. The 80,000-sqaure-foot attraction will include a restaurant and retail store.
An NBA-themed attraction at Universal Orlando closed in November 2016.
DisneyQuest’s unique mix of arcade games and virtual reality experiences lasted nearly three decades. It opened in Downtown Disney in 1988 and was planned as the first of several chains built to appeal to people who could not visit a theme park.
The second DisneyQuest was built in Chicago but closed in 2001 due to low attendance. Following the closure, DisneyQuest projects in Philadelphia, Toronto and Disneyland Resort in California were canceled.
