Disney World is bringing its Villains After Hours events back next year with a new “procession” of evil characters — but don’t plan on meeting them up close.

The new addition is called the Villains’ Cursed Caravan, which will feature characters like Gaston, Oogie Boogie, Captain Hook, and Cruella DeVil making their way through the Magic Kingdom alongside the Maleficent dragon. The float usually seen in the afternoon Festival of Fantasy parade made its nighttime debut during the first Villains After Hours event this year.

The Cursed Caravan will run twice a night.

Despite the popularity of the villainous characters, Disney is sticking by its policy of not offering character meet-and-greets at this event.

“As a reminder, this event does not include character greetings,” said Disney public relations manager Sarah Domenech on the Disney Parks Blog.

The 2020 events will also feature new food options.

“A few of the new treats this year are Painting the Roses Red (Available at Cheshire Café), a cheesecake mousse with raspberry gelée, red cocoa butter, and buttercream leaves; Body Language (Available at Storybook Treats), a cookies and cream mousse with chocolate cake, glaçage, and meringue tentacles garnished with a chocolate shell; and Five Dozen Eggs Slush (Available at Gaston’s Tavern),” Domenech wrote.

Returning features of the event will include the “Villains Unite the Night” stage show, enhancements to Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain, as well as access to more than 20 other attractions around Magic Kingdom.

2020 will feature a total of 24 Villains After Hours events, the first scheduled for Feb. 7.

The event requires a separate ticket and prices have gone up since last year. Tickets will now cost $145 in advance or $155 on event night.
