Walt Disney World is putting the final touches on its newest water attraction, which will open March 12 just in time for spring break at Typhoon Lagoon.

Miss Adventure Falls is a two-minute, white-water raft trip owned by the fictional Captain Mary Oceaneer, a treasure hunter whose haul was caught in a typhoon and scattered across the water park. The captain’s talking parrot guides guests through the aquatic treasure hunt.

An aquatic conveyor belt propels four-person rafts through the chutes and valleys of the ride. Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are Disney World’s two water parks. Typhoon Lagoon has been closed for refurbishment and the opening is scheduled two months ahead of the grand opening of Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay water park May 25.

Typhoon Lagoon, which opened in 1989, has North America’s largest wave pool, three raft rides and a lazy river.
