Universal Studios Hollywood is adding its newest attraction to the Universal Express line-skipping service.
As announced by the park Tuesday, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge — the one ride inside Hollywood’s Super Nintendo World — will now be included with Express passes. The Express access will only be good for one ride on Mario Kart per day, even if guests have the higher-priced Express Unlimited ticket.
Universal confirmed to Theme Park Tribune that Express passes for Halloween Horror Nights will also include one-time access to Mario Kart.
Until the change, Mario Kart was the only ride at Universal Studios Hollywood with no Express access, largely thanks to demand. The attraction can often attract wait times of 3 hours or more. A single-rider line was the only other option to try and avoid the long lines.
The ride debuted with the rest of Hollywood’s Super Nintendo World in 2023. A larger version of the land, including a clone of the Mario Kart ride, will be opening at Universal Orlando’s new Epic Universe theme park next year.
