A Mario Andretti-themed indoor karting track with more elevation changes and banked turns than any other in the world will be built in International Drive’s Tourism Corridor.
The 164,000-square-foot facility will open in July near the intersection of Universal Boulevard and Convention Way behind the Orange County Convention Center. That’s where Andretti Indoor Karting & Games previewed its newest addition during the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo 2016.
The karting and gaming company also has attractions in Roswell and Marietta, Georgia and operates the Andretti Thrill Park in Melbourne, which has five outdoor tracks.
The European-style track will be accompanied by an elevated ropes course with a curved zip line, a 12-lane boutique bowling alley, racing simulators, an interactive Dark Ride motion theater and more than 120 arcade games with the latest technology. A full-service restaurant and bar called Andretti Grill and 10,000-square feet of meeting space will round out the attraction.
“We are always growing and striving to provide the latest and most thrilling entertainment experiences to our guests,” said Managing Member Eddie Hamann.
