Legoland Florida’s “Brick or Treat” Halloween event will return for nine dates in October, including on Halloween itself.
The Winter Haven park announced the seventh edition of the kids-themed Halloween event would feature a new show called “A Candy-Coated Curse,” which will be exclusive to “Brick or Treat” dates. Also scheduled are the Lego Spider Lady character from the “Lego Worlds” video game and the “Tale of Pirates’ Cove” show, which will be performed every night of the event except Oct. 31.
“No extra ticket is required to enjoy a brand-new show, loads of candy along a uniquely Lego trick-or-treating trail, interactive character meet-and-greet experiences, fireworks spectacular and much more,” the park said in a press release.
Not requiring an extra ticket sets Legoland apart from other events on the crowded Halloween slate at Central Florida theme parks. Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa all require separate admission. The Universal and Busch Gardens events also come with warnings to leave younger kids at home.
To entice out-of-town guests, the Legoland Hotel is offering Halloween-themed rooms. Bookings can be made beginning Aug. 20.
The event will run during the park’s regular hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 6 to Oct. 28. On Halloween itself, Wednesday, Oct. 31, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
