Legoland Florida and California will each be opening their new roller coasters early next year about one week apart.

Legoland California was the first to reveal its opening date for Galacticoaster, an indoor family launch coaster themed around Lego’s Galaxy line of products. The Carlsbad, California version of the ride will open on March 6, 2026.

But it won’t be the first Galacticoaster opening next year. Legoland Florida’s version of the attraction will open a week earlier on Feb. 27, 2026. The Winter Haven, Florida park announced the opening date as part of its Holidays at Legoland event this past weekend.

Exact statistics and ride specs haven’t been released for the coaster. It’s being built by German ride manufacturer ART Engineering, who is also responsible for the Snoopy’s Racing Railway family coasters at Canada’s Wonderland and Carowinds.

Legoland has said the two new coasters cost a total of $90 million, which the parks called its “biggest ever single in-park investment.”
