Legoland Florida’s newest ride, Pirate River Quest, will open on Nov. 2, the park announced Wednesday.

The boat ride will take place on real waterways around Lake Eloise and Cypress Gardens.  Legoland described the ride in a press release as a search for “Captain Redbeard’s lost treasure” where “families face a variety of exciting sequences built within lush gardens telling the tales of the rowdy Lego pirate crew.”

“Riders will sail through the natural waterways while following the all-new story featuring the newest Lego pirate friend, Calico Jade, and other exotic Lego creatures, including a flamboyance of bright flamingos, a troop of mischievous monkeys and even a fearsome kraken,” the park said.

The ride was first announced during Legoland Florida’s 10th anniversary celebration last October. It marks another expansion of Legoland’s pirate-themed offerings, which include the Lego Pirate Hotel that debuted in 2020.

The resort made a major addition earlier this year with the opening of Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida in February.
