Legoland Florida’s Halloween celebration will feature a special promotion based around the resort’s third on-site hotel.
During weekends in October, Brick or Treat will take over the Winter Haven park. The Halloween event will “include trick or treating along a Lego trail complete with lightly frightful character interactions, larger-than-life Lego builds and meet-and-greet opportunities with seven event exclusive Lego characters,” Legoland said in a press release.
For the first weekend of the event (Oct. 5-6), any kids aged 2 to 12 who come to the park dressed as a pirate will receive a complimentary ticket good for a return visit before the end of 2019.
The Legoland promotion ties in with the upcoming Pirate Island Hotel. The third on-site accommodation on the property is currently under construction near the park entrance and is scheduled to open in March 2020.
Keeping with the pirate theme, each night of Brick or Treat will feature a fireworks show called “A Tale of Pirates Cove.”
Legoland Florida expanded earlier this year with the addition of two new rides (and one rethemed attraction) in Lego Movie World, based around the 2014 film. The park’s parent company, Merlin Entertainments, reported “favorable guest feedback” with the new land in its latest financial report disappointing sales overall in its last financial report, which it partially blamed on “Lego Movie 2” flopping at the box office.
