Legoland Florida will once again host its Christmas Bricktacular and Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party events on select nights in December.
The Christmas event will run on Saturdays and Sundays beginning Dec. 1 before running for four straight days from Dec. 22 through Tuesday, Dec. 25. The expanded offerings this year will include a new show, “Jolly Holly Jubilee,” playing on the Lego City Stage.
“Santa’s elves are ready to send Saint Nick to the North Pole in this interactive show that will have guests singing along to songs of the season,” Legoland said of the new show.
Other holiday-themed activities around the park will include meet-and-greets with Lego versions of Santa and a Toy Soldier, a “Holidays Around the World” Lego building competition, synchronized light shows on a 30-foot-tall Lego Christmas tree and special food items like Pumpkin Spice Granny’s Apple Fries.
Once Christmas passes, the park will host the “New Beginnings Celebration” fireworks through Dec. 31. On that night, the Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party will feature a “Lego brick-drop countdown” at 8 p.m. (or midnight Kid Standard Time, as the park calls it), giving parents plenty of time to get home for their own celebrations.
Unlike some other Christmas theme park events, like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, the holiday activities at Legoland are included with park admission.
The Winter Haven park is also gearing up for a big 2019, which will feature a major expansion of the park with Lego Movie World. Taking over land previously occupied by The World of Chima section, it will feature two new rides and rethemed version of the Quest for Chi boat attraction now known as Battle of Bricksburg. It is currently scheduled to open in early spring.
