With a full reopening unlikely anytime soon after California’s strict COVID-19 standards for theme parks, Knott’s Berry Farm is moving ahead with another food festival event that will run into 2021.
Knott’s Taste of Merry Farm will boast more than 60 seasonal food and drink items, ranging from Turkey Dinner Tater Tots to Scrooge’s Spicy Cranberry Pomegranate Glazed Wings to candied pecans. 23 of the park’s artisan crafters will also be selling their wares during the event.

“While the theme park remains closed, Christmas spirit still shines bright this year with holiday charm brimming out of every corner of the park, as Knott’s wondrously transforms with enchanted décor, thousands of twinkling lights, miles of festive garland, and a variety of picturesque holiday settings, all serving as a backdrop to the tastiest holiday foods around,” Knott’s said in a press release.
Like the previous food festivals run during the COVID-19 era, Taste of Merry Farm will require guests to purchase a “tasting card” in advance. Prices have increased to $40 for a five “tasting” adult card (up from $35 at the Taste of Fall-O-Ween), while junior “tasting cards” will remain $20. The cards have to be purchased through Knott’s website or mobile app and are date-specific.

The event will also feature safety measures familiar to theme park fans in 2020. Face masks must be worn except when sitting at a table or bench to eat, physical distancing will be encouraged and a temperature screening will be administered before entering the park.
The event is scheduled to run November 20-29 , December 4-6, 11-13, 18-24, and 26-30, and January 1-3. The event will generally run from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the exception of five dates (Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13, and 24, and Jan. 3) when it will close an hour earlier at 8 p.m.
