The revamped Fiesta Village of Knott’s Berry Farm will make its debut on May 26, but without the overhauled Montezooma’s Revenge roller coaster.
In a press release, Knott’s said the updated coaster — now renamed Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress — will not open with the rest of the land “due to construction delays.” No opening date has been set.
The original Montezoom’s Revenge, which dates to 1978, closed last year for major renovations which will include a new randomized launch sequence.

As for the rest of Fiesta Village, the overhauled land, inspired by Los Angeles’ historic Olvera Street. will feature new drinking and dining options. This will include burritos, quesadillas and tamales at Casa California, fish tacos at Baja Taqueria, and cocktails at the new Cantina Del Sur.
The park will also expand its Flavors of Summer food festival event into Fiesta Village, with special booths offering more Mexican specialties including chorizo and potato tacos, micheladas and elotes.
Beyond food, the area will host a new nighttime street party called Calle Celebración, which Knott’s described as “Mexican traditions of family, love and community through color, music, dancing and giant colorful puppets.”
