For the first time since March, guests will be welcomed back into Ghost Town at Knott’s Berry Farm — but not to ride GhostRider or Calico River Rapids.

In a surprise announcement, Knott’s announced Wednesday that Ghost Town will host a new event called “Taste of Calico.”

“During this specially ticketed outdoor event, guests will be able to take a nostalgic stroll through the streets of Calico, sample unique Knott’s culinary creations including boysenberry specialties, visit local crafters and shop at our unique stores,” Knott’s said in a press release.

23 food and beverage options will be available, Knott’s said. To enter, guests will have to buy a “tasting card” online, costing $25 for five food tastings for guests aged 12 and up  and $15 for the kids’ card with three tastings.

Stores will be limited to 50 percent of their normal capacity to allow for physical distancing.

The Taste of Calico runs for only two weekends: July 17-19 and July 24-26. Event hours will be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
