The new Camp Snoopy kids area at Kings Island will open on May 24, the Mason, Ohio park announced Tuesday.

The area, adjacent to the existing Planet Snoopy, will include Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers, a 672-foot-long and 75-foot-tall roller coaster. Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers is one of two U.S. installations of Vekoma’s Family Boomerang model coming this year, alongside the recently-opened Good Gravy at Holiday World.

Camp Snoopy will also feature nature-themed play area called Beagle Scout Acres and several renamed attractions from Planet Snoopy: Race for Your Life Charlie Brown will become Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride, Flying Ace Aerial Chase will become Woodstock’s Air Rail and Woodstock’s Gliders will become Franklin’s Flyers. Linus’ Launcher will keep its name while being redesignated as a Camp Snoopy ride.

Kings Island has been open for the 2024 season since April 10. Wednesday, May 15 marks the start of daily operations at the park, which will remain open seven days a week up through August 18, when it scales back to opening only on the weekends.
