Jimmy Fallon came to town Thursday to celebrate the grand opening of Universal Orlando Resort’s newest ride.

Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon is an action-packed race through the Big Apple against the “Tonight Show” host.

Fallon kicked off the celebration with a New York-style ticker tape parade at Universal Studios.  Joining Fallon on a custom-made float were “Tonight Show” house band The Roots, announcer Steve Higgins, and the Ragtime Gals barbershop quartet.

“I’m happy,” Fallon said. “I’m grateful. I’m excited. This whole experience has been a real emotional roller coaster simulator.”

Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon is the first Universal ride to feature the Virtual Line experience – allowing guests to enjoy other areas of the park while they “virtually” wait to enter the attraction.

The ride is one of 20 new guest experiences Universal Orlando has opened since 2010.
