Three-and-a-half years after it was originally announced, the All-American Triple Loop roller coaster finally has an opening date at Indiana Beach.

The classic Anton Schwarzkopf coaster will debut on the park’s 2024 opening day, set for May 11.

All-American Triple Loop was first used as a traveling coaster in 1984 and last operated in Mexico, where it was the site of a fatal accident in September 2019.

When Indiana Beach first announced the purchase, the relocated ride was tentatively scheduled to open in 2021. (Theme Park Tribune even included it on our “5 biggest attractions coming to regional parks” list for that year.)

That opening never took place and few updates were offered in 2022 or 2023. Theme Park Tribune’s repeated inquiries to Indiana Beach officials about the ride’s status were met with no response, but the release of an on-ride video last November offered hope that 2024 would finally see the ride’s debut.

The 108-foot-tall coaster features — as the name suggests — three loops over its 3,379 feet of track, hitting a top speed of 53 miles per hour.
