Following closures on Oct. 9 and 10 for Hurricane Milton, Orlando area theme parks will resume normal operations on Friday, Oct. 11 — with some exceptions.

Disney World’s four theme parks and Disney Springs will be back open Friday under their previously-scheduled operating hours. Disney has also extended partially-used multi-day tickets affected by the hurricane, which will now expire on Oct. 11, 2025.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will remain temporarily closed. No update has been provided for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.

Universal Orlando will resume operations on Friday at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk. Friday’s edition of Halloween Horror Nights is also being held as scheduled.

SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando and Discovery Cove will be open on Friday. However, SeaWorld has canceled its Howl-O-Scream event for Friday evening and will not be offering its Spooktacular Halloween activities during the day.

Fun Spot America’s Orlando and Kissimmee parks were the first to welcome back guests, reopening at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island will remain closed longer than its inland theme park rivals, staying shuttered through at least Saturday, Oct. 12. Both the Friday and Saturday Howl-O-Scream events at the park have been canceled.

As the Tampa Bay Times reports, Tampa was “mostly spared” from some of the worst-case scenarios from Milton while still experiencing 17 inches of rain in just six hours and plenty of property damage.
