The Headless Horseman will be the star of a new Halloween party at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The character from Washington Irving’s short story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” has been a regular at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. He’s also been spotted at the campground’s Chip ‘n Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long.

But this is the first time the Headless Horseman has been the focus of a premium party.

“Return to Sleepy Hollow” begins with a screening of the 1949 animated classic, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, followed by a meet and greet with the Headless Horseman and his dark steed at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch stables.

The event will be held twice nightly at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. September 29-October 2, October 5-9, 12-16, 19-23 and 26-31 at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

The cost is $22 per person or $38 for premium seats in the first five rows, priority access to the Headless Horseman meet and greet, and a Halloween treat bag.
