Fun Spot America is expanding its footprint to include 12 acres of undeveloped property across the street from its Orlando park.

A new skyway ride, more roller coasters, water rides and a parking garage are all part of the proposed growth.

The expansion incorporates six new themes that will “transport guests to classic American past and present time periods, enhancing the park’s family fun experience,”according to a press release from Falcon’s Creative Group, a theme park consulting and design firm working on Fun Spot’s master plan.

“We are very excited to see Fun Spot grow in the upcoming years and make an impact in the Orlando theme park community,” said Brandi Monard, a designer at Falcon’s Creative Group.

Fun Spot Orlando opened in 1997 on the north end of International Drive with an outdoor arcade, family rides and a patented multi-level race track. It’s last expansion was in 2013.
